Today was an odd day in that it started early with a visit to a neighbour to check out the leather sofa she was seeking to offload. It was fine so I agreed.

Then I went to the church to prepare for tomorrow’s 1230 mass. I will serve as cantor and immediately after will assist with an intercessory prayer service (a first in recent times at this parish). I did a bit of shopping for tools and then returned to await the phone call from the sofa neighbour. In the event she rang at 7pm. She was having a replacement sofa delivered and for a few dollars the guys delivered the old one to my place. What was unexpected was the offer of a glass or two of wine and good conversation. It was raining so I decided against going out and ate in with another Bond movie.
